From WhatsApp Groups to Automatic Payouts

The starting point: three WhatsApp groups and a shared spreadsheet

Picture a mid-sized real estate company in Bangalore, three active projects, roughly 55% of sales coming through 40-odd broker relationships. Their channel partner process, like most, ran on three WhatsApp broadcast groups (one per project) and a shared Excel sheet that the sales admin updated at the end of each day — sometimes the next morning.

The predictable problems showed up every month: brokers asking for unit availability that had already changed, commission disputes over deals nobody could find in the spreadsheet, and payouts that lagged 45–60 days after booking because reconciliation was manual.

What changed when it moved into the CRM

The team didn't build a separate broker app or hire an agency to manage a portal. They turned on channel partner management inside their existing Nurexify Sales & CRM module — meaning brokers log into the same live inventory their own sales team sees, not a synced copy of it.

  • Broker self-registration with PAN, Aadhaar, and RERA broker number — no manual onboarding spreadsheet.
  • Live inventory visibility — a broker checking unit availability sees exactly what the sales desk sees, updated the instant a unit is reserved.
  • Automatic commission computation the moment a booking is confirmed, with a GST-compliant statement generated monthly instead of assembled by hand.
  • Duplicate lead detection — first-registered-wins logic that ended the recurring "which broker gets credit" disputes.

The commission dispute rate — deals where a broker and the sales team disagreed on who should be paid — dropped close to zero in the first full quarter, simply because both sides were now looking at the same record instead of two different ones.

The leaderboard effect

An unplanned side effect: once brokers could see a live performance leaderboard, the top-performing brokers started asking for more inventory access and referring other brokers to register. Visibility turned into a mild competitive incentive nobody had to design deliberately.

The takeaway

The lesson generalizes well beyond this one example: channel partner friction rarely comes from brokers being difficult. It comes from brokers operating on stale information while your own team operates on live information. Close that gap and most of the friction closes with it.

This is why Nurexify does not sell channel partner management as a separate product — see Sales & CRM for the full module — it works best as one more view into the same database everyone else is already using.
